It has not been mentioned that the iPad app is affected by this problem you have with Mac versions of the app. I tried to solve the problem by restarting the iPad and could not get the app started. Could you please suggest a way to start the app again? Note that the app is up-to-date. Really hope this is resolved soon! Using iOS 11 on iPad Pro. This is the most bug ridden software I Have used since my PC days some 12 years ago. Mac inch, Mid — 3. Update — In the time it took to write the last comment and make a cup of coffee about 20 minutes — the program did do the duplication — I am now trying to save this new file about 4 minutes and still going. I would suggest that most problems are down to to memory handling, not the graphics card as problems get worse the more memory being used.
Pixelmator was working fine with me. Having this problem since yesterday when I cannot save any files. Even if I am editing the file, the app just freezes and refuses to work. Hi there, Since the update to High Sierra, my pixelmator seems to crash every time I try to use the colour pallette.

Ben Thanks for the followup. RAWs are massive 2. You want to be able to store RAWs locally, batch import the ones you want to edit and export out the finals to Photo Library or back to Files 4. Apple Photos doesn't handle RAWs that nicely especially with iCloud so it's preferable to keep them out of the workflow until you are sure you want them there 5.
Files is the perfect area to do all that organising sorting, archiving, deleting. Fri Oct 04, am Hi Joshua, thanks so much for taking the time to share such detailed and thoughtful feedback! There isn't too much I can really say about this just now because I can't promise that we'll overhaul the Files-based workflow like we've done with Photos in the near future but we'll definitely discuss these ideas and keep them in mind!
Wed Oct 23, pm Hi again Joshua, just had quick thought regarding importing in Pixelmator Photo. If you're OK with using the Files app, you could probably replicate much of your workflow using batch editing to import. If you simply create a workflow with an "Export to Pixelmator Photo" action we've added one by default in the latest update called PHOTO you can select a number of RAW files, run the workflow, and put those files in a location of your choice. Using Files you can tag them too. Does that sound like it might work for you?
So the latest Update that finally merged the Photo library into the App is exactly what I wished. I hate nothing more than importing all my images into photos, where I want them to be, then having to import every single one again into an app edit everything and export them again into photos.
Ending up with triple the storage space photos, app and again photos and not being able to sort them effectively. I have tried everything that I know how to do Any other suggestions? I then have to duplicate it, save it to my Macintosh HD, and then delete the other copy that was trying to save on Google Drive. Then, I can manually move the file in the Finder over to my Google Drive folder.
Both of these issues are maddening Mon May 10, am Hi! Thanks for the report. Both are known issues but both don't really depend on us. As Pixelmator Pro relies on macOS for file management, any permission or saving issues are most likely coming from the system level rather than the app itself.
